The Newcastle Vintage Fair

It was our first time in Newcastle, and I never knew that the M1 just randomly changed into the A1, we live and we learn. You were ever so lovely you lot, even queuing patiently outside for up to 20 minutes before our doors opened at The Castle Gate, shucks.

What a busy day! 40 stalls of vintage and lots of brand new traders too, I'm sure you made them feel right at home in the toon. The cakes by Pet Lamb Patisserie were just scrumptious (you even queued for those too, even when they had to fetch a brand new batch in!).

Now we had a VIP winner! The lovely Rachel walked in all giddy and excitebale and she walked out a vintage siren with her beautiful red locks curled into a 40s set ready to go shopping with her £50 prize money! We couldn't get over the hair -fabulous work by LeKeux events. Get booking your appointment for our upcoming fairs!

We also had a cheeky visit from King Charles (see below) so he caused a little stir among our promo girls!

We will see you in Bristol or Nottingham on Saturday and Cardiff on Sunday! Yes! THREE VINTAGE FAIRS. Madness. All 12-5pm, all bloody brilliant.

Hot Under The Fur Collar

Lucille Ball in Dance Girl Dance

The winter coat. A nightmare for me as I'm always wanting a new one every year, I never seem to find the perfect one! Well this year has to be different, I'm determined to find that ideal winter cover up. More than likely it will have one huge faux fur collar. Remember these gorgeous girls from my Bright Young Twins interview? They were snapped by Anne Bernecker in two very glamorous collared coats.

I have been keeping my eyes peeled for the best faux fur collar coats from our Vintage Fairs up and down the country. These portable radiators are guaranteed to glam up your vintage outfits for the cold dark nights that are already closing in on us.

Feeling 70s? This stunning paisley printed baby fits the bill. More of a "black goes with everything" kind of girl? Here's a coat for you. More of a 40s lady? Going with tweed will suit your look.

These huge coats need nipping in at the waist, so look for belted styles to create an hourglass silhouette. If you're more of a print person, we even had some kooky, almost cartoon leopard print in Northampton.

So hop along to our fair in Newcastle this weekend to find your new winter coat!
